Fire damages the Little Blue Recreation Club
The Little Blue Recreation Club owned by Geo Harrison, operated by Billy Harrison, suffered a fire Wednesday morning discovered about 8:30. Damage is estimated at 300 dollars. The blaze started in the roof rear, likely from a defective flue. Geo Harrison had installed a fire hose hookup during water works work, and urged citywide fire plugs and hose to protect nearby properties.

Delegates Favor Highway 73 Work Start Planned

The Gulf region farmers from Texas to the Carolinas can join the Federal soil conservation program while aiding wildlife. Through the Bureau of Biological Survey the plan pays for replacing soil-depleting crops with soil-building crops and for related practices. Forest trees may be planted on crop land and farmers can receive various payments in 1937 and beyond.
