County Commissioners Session Reports Actions and Social Event
The County Commissioners met Monday and Tuesday with Judge J J Perry and four commissioners. They approved an auditor’s report, opened the Fields Store and Montgomery Road to the county line, ordered dead stock hauled to the county dump, and enforced laws against dumping on highways. They permitted sale of the old Brookshire Court House and old district school property. Last Friday G. T. Shearer sold his general merchandise business here. Mazman, the purchaser, took a two year lease on the store building and acquired Shearer's goodwill. Mazman comes from California and hopes to move his family here later.

County ad applauds road improvements and adjournment
The court adjourned to allow the treasurer and tax collector to finish reports for approval. Brookshire Hempstead road realigned to meet the K T highway east of Clear Creek to use better land and reduce maintenance costs.
