Rev J M Hays, longtime pastor of the El Dora Baptist Church, has accepted the Brookshire Baptist Church calling. He and his wife, graduates of Howard Payne College Brownwood and Southwestern Theological Seminary Fort Worth, will move to the parsonage February 14 and assume duties the following Sunday.

Rural gain, urban decline, farm employment down 15 percent, non farm jobs up 11.8 percent, and manufacturing up 70.4 percent to 1 356 jobs. The district added oil and gas, leather goods, rice milling, and recycling plants in Waller Colorado and Lavaca Counties, with 545 unemployed in 1960.
