Mrs. Frank Gostecnik is reported to be doing well after an operation earlier this week. Dave Candsberger in a Houston hospital shows improvement on Wednesday. Brother Wilson remains about the same this week.

Mrs. Robert Avery and Jimmie Del Tubbs were in Richmond Thursday. H Seidel and C W Bar num were Hempstead visitors. Lucius Bains and wife of Hovkley visited in Brook shir on Wednesday.
A growing Red Cross list from Brookshire and Pattison expands with many small donations and names. The compiled roster includes individuals such as Pattison Church and Pattison PTA members, local families, and donors recording amounts from 1.00 to 5.06 dollars.
Sterling Fletcher announces his bid for Sheriff of Waller County, subject to the July Democratic primary. A longtime farmer and former USDA tick eradication official, he plans full-time duty and seeks voter support across the county.

Mrs. Lucy Sterling Norris 63, widow of Frank William Norris of Houston, died at home in Pattison. A Waller County descendant and former teacher and principal, she served in San Antonio schools and at Hagle Pass. Survived by daughter Mansing Je Grerp and three Pattison-area daughters. Funeral at Pattison home with Pattison Cemetery burial. A. H. Muske and Son directing.
The Methodist Ladies Aid met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. 12. D. Legler. After a brief business and social session, members were served a salad plate cookies and tea.
