Rev H M Whaling presiding elder of the Houston District will preach at the M E church in Brookshire Sunday at 11 00 am. The first quarterly conference for the year will be held at 2 30 pm.
Mr and Mrs Horace Harbison announce the birth of a baby daughter on Wednesday February 3.
Pattison school will resume classes Monday after three weeks of closure due to bad roads. The district notes the roads remain poor but reopening is needed to avoid extending summer instruction, as children are needed in the fields.
