Pioneer Citizen Malinda Morgan Died After Illness

Mrs Malinda Delmere Morgan died after a lingering illness on Wednesday night January 27 at age 54 Born in Colorado County Texas she moved to Waller County with her husband Known as Bad Morgan she had twelve children seven of whom reside in Monaville The deceased was a member of the Christian Church and Woodmen Circle Surviving children include Virtie Winfree Sledge Della Ira Ula and M E Morgan and sons John Ned Lee Willie Dessie The funeral was held in Patterson Texas with Rev D F Draper officiating.

Christian Endeavor Society Nominates Leaders

At the Christian Endeavor meeting last Sunday committees were formed and nominations made for leaders. W D Mills J P Cox and Edwiina Adams were nominated for pledge committee. Miss Mary Mills Mary Williford and Willie Donald lead the prayer meeting committee and Edwiina Adams is slated to lead next Sunday.

Baptist minister preaches to large crowd here and in Brookshire

Rev Hf N Shirley appointed regular minister for the Baptist Church preached to a large congregation last Sunday and Monday night. He will hold regular services in Brookshire on the third Sunday of each month. Dr H T Gueen, a scientist, is now located with us and ready to handle all dental work, Office over Waller County Bank. Houston business groups are sending speakers to farming communities to promote diversified and cooperative farming benefits. We can do your job work.
