Mrs Lucy E Stocking longtime Pattison resident died December 19 1930 at Pattison at 8 00 p m She is survived by two sons Ernest and Foster Pattison and a daughter Mrs Walter Rosenbush of Foster Also two sisters Mrs Meedamen Ww W Cliett and Moody of Houston Burial took place Sunday at Pattison Cemetery with services by Rev J C Atkinson and funeral director A H Muske

August Smith Found Dead on Clemons Farm
A man identified as August Smith was found dead Monday morning in a kneeling position beside a bed at the W. C. Clemons farm. Smith had been caring for the property while Clemons was away at Mineral Wells.

School Closed Friday for Christmas Holidays
The local public schools recessed last Friday and will close for a Christmas holiday week, reopening Monday the 29th followed by a New Year holiday. A death attributed to natural causes is noted, with surviving brother Henry and sister Mrs. Shultz of Hempstead. Panera services were held in Hempstead under Tom B. Cuny as funeral director.
