Legal notice to qualified electors in the Brookshire Municipal Water District, Waller County Texas, to be held January 4, 1964. The district board adopts and orders the election under Texas law for taxation and district governance.
The Brookshire Municipal Water District of Waller County Texas schedules a January 4 1964 bond election for 95000 to finance waterworks and sewer system extensions. Ballots will be paper ballots with for or against the bond proposition and taxes. Absentee voting via Evelyn Waters runs 9 am to 4 pm at the district recorder’s office 914 Otto Street.
Brookshire Lions Club held a Christmas party with Santa pins, carols led by Mrs. Whit Bains Jr, and Rev. Bert Condrey giving thanks. A turret of pine and glittered decor lined banquet tables as Linda Walters, Suzanne Garrett and Lynn Bains performed piano numbers and a film about Lionism aided crippled children at Kerrville Camp.
Funeral services were held for Sidney McFarlin 37 owner of Waller Cleaners in Waller and the Brookshire area. He died at Spring Branch Memorial Hospital from injuries in a highway accident on Hempstead Highway the previous night. Harold J. Means 25 of Fayetteville Tennessee was charged with negligent homicide. Interment was in Shiloh Cemetery. Survivors include his wife six daughters his parents six sisters and three brothers.
Mr and Mrs BB Walling anticipate gifts for their son Warren Walding and his wife from Cheyenne Wyoming. They plan to arrive December 80 for a 16 day leave. Mrs Willie Sue Cooper visits as a houseguest of Mrs Jack Dalton.
