Miss Lillie Kaspar Dies in Houston at 25
Miss Lillie Kaspar aged 25, daughter of Mr and Mrs Joe Kaspar, died in Houston Texas on Sunday December 13 1936 at 6 00 am. Born in Brookshire November 5 1911 she lived here until a few years ago and worked in Houston at the time of her death. She is survived by her parents two brothers Delphine and Alfred Kaspar and many relatives. Funeral services were held at the family home north of Pattison December 15 at 2 00 pm conducted by Rev J D F Houch and burial followed at Pattison cemetery under the direction of W R Muske funeral director.

Vaughan No 1 oil well put on pump by Collins & Broker
The Vaughan No 1 oil well is being pumped again by Collins & Bro ker Oil & Gas Well reconditioning crew after an unsuccessful water shutoff. The well has run about 95 percent water and five percent oil, producing about ten barrels daily. If pumping raises water pressure and oil flow, a nearby well may be drilled in the near future as part of a promising sand edge.
