Eleven shopping days remain before Christmas as Brookshire merchants tout large stocks of seasonal goods and urge local patrons to buy now. The Times invites Christmas greeting notices to reach the office by Monday December 22.
Judge 8 A McCall calls a special district court term in Hempstead County for December 15 to try Mexicans indicted in October for murder at the Tan keasuier place. They have been jailed since the grand jury's indictment amid talk of legislative sessions and salary debates.
Local residents report visits to Houston for business and family. M G Kelley and Mrs. M G Kelley travel and host. Doris Avery joins Mrs J W Avery in Katy. Sheriff E Lawrence of Hempstead appears in town. numerous Houstonians and relatives visit, renew subscriptions, or view events locally.
J C Muske and wife visited in Houston Saturday while Esmond Buller and Randolph Sterling of Goose Creek were guests Sunday. Randolph Gray spent the day with Sid Taylor and family. The Pattison School plans a Christmas program for Friday afternoon the 19th. Mr Clemons expects to spend weeks in Mineral Wells for health. Albert Title and family of Addicks visited Joe Stasny and family. Vivian and Blanch Pattison and Allen Taylor were in Tuesday.

Last Sunday afternoon at 2 30 the Methidost Church hosted a violin piano and saw recital by Prof. Joseph Baregreras Houston Prof L W Legcett of the local school and Miss Harriet Barrachian of Pattison. The trio offered violin pieces saw and piano hymns with Barrachian accompanying. Rev J C Atkinson made announcements and thanked attendees promising similar programs.

F Ripka and family plus Alma Cooke visited relatives in Needville. Sophie Stasny and John Bell visited Frank Stasny’s Friday. Joe Lvach visited the Gaidovek home Tuesday. Frank and Chas Stasny with families spent Sunday with Louie Zadelsky. Kasper family and John Stasny hosted Joe Kasper last Sunday. Bill Lvach and F Stasny made a Saturday business trip to Brookshire. Joe Kasper is ill and friends wish him a speedy recovery. John Brannen and Inez Cooke were guests of George Laas Sunday evening. Howard Morgan, Geo Bonner and W J Morgan visited Geo Beil Sunday night. Born to Emil and wife Wichman last Saturday a baby boy weighing fifteen and a half pounds.
