Katy National Bank Opens After 1954 Charter
Katy National Bank received its charter in October 1954 and opened May 2, 1945 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm inviting the public. The first bank in Katy had 250000 in capital, surplus and undivided profits, with 10 stockholders. Officers listed include F B Cornelius president and Dr L W Bing vice president. Directors named R Robertson Jesse Vreeman J R Collins E G Stockdick Corne lius Dube and Dr Bing.
