The Island Camp Confederate Veterans of Mississippi met at the opera house in Aberdeen on Tuesday morning October 1st. Capt EO Sykes opened the session, with Rev A J Miller giving the prayer. Committees on enrollment constitution and bylaws were named, and officers for the Grand Camp were elected including Grand Commander E C Walthall and staff. The gathering adjourned to reconvene at 8:30 that evening and march to the courtroom.
