Fever situation improves across Mississippi coast area

Prohibition Moves Against C O D Whisky in Rolling Fork

At a mass meeting in Rolling Fork citizens directed the express agent to stop delivering any more C O D whisky packages. Crystal Springs officers seized C O D shipments from the depot while urging other prohibition towns to act. The drive follows a campaign in Maryland over constitutional limits on neuro suffrage.

Fire saves Brookhaven after YMCA blaze in Temple

A midnight fire in Brookhaven began in the YMCA rooms in the rear of the Masonic Temple, damaging the temple about $5,000 while the YMCA suffered $300 in furniture loss. Waterworks and brave firemen prevented a worse disaster as residents evacuated and insurers covered most losses. The Masons plan to proceed with temple repairs ahead of February Grand Lodge meetings.
