Special price list from Louis Cohn and Bros offering cheap fabrics and goods. Items include bleached 32 inch domestic, mattress tick 28 inch, broadcloth 54 inch, Tricou wool 30 inch, Damask 52 inch, sheeting 8-4, plaids 25 inch, and assorted apparel with prices from 5 to 50 cents.
A rough OCR fragment lists various grocery items and prices including flour in bbls and sacks, bacon ribs, Liverpool salt by the 200 pound sack, cream meal in 38 lb sacks, sugar different grades, Swift's hams and breakfast bacon, coffee of fine quality, leaf lard by 50 lb or per pound, and other entries with prices and quantities. The text is incomplete and hard to parse, but preserves the sense of a historical price sheet.
Brookhaven mayor and aldermen convened in regular session on Tuesday November 7 1905 with all listed members present. Minutes from October adopted. Salaries and miscellaneous costs approved. A $50 fee plus 10 percent of any collected amount was granted to P Z Jones for representing the city in a Chancery Court suit over road tax. A remittance conditioned on costs was approved for Homer Coon due to mental illness. Resignation of Policeman Charles Hardy accepted. A blinds purchase for the public school was disallowed for lack of authority. October receipts report presented. Adjourned to November 9.

Prices include 10.00 for men’s all wool cheviots, 15.00 for tailor made worsteds, 20.00 for tailor made worsteds, 5.00 for youth cassimere and worsted suits, and 10.00 for youth wool worsted suits. Trousers feature the handsomest patterns shown.
Edwin Clapp's men's shoes in vici and box calf are advertised with prices around five hundred dollars. Crawford's patent vici shoes priced at three dollars fifty, with other vici options. Utz and Dunn's dataien or similar shoes listed with varying discounts.
Silk velvet and felt hats shown in latest styles priced from 1.50 to 4.50 with trims in silk, velvet, and popular shapes. Includes silk velvet hats at 3.00, 3.50, and 4.50 and hack hats available in all popular felt shapes and colors.
City meeting notes show authorization of payments to Brown Coal Co and Hyman Zwirn with deductions for freight demurrage and discounts. An ordinance was adopted to keep nonpassengers off depot grounds of Illinois Central within 80 feet of trains, with fines up to 1000 for violations. Open bond refunds and lamp cord predeem measures noted. City treasurer reported October receipts and fund balances including Revenue Fund and Teachers' Fund.
Price Drug Co assures readers it will refund money to any Hyomei purchaser if the catarrh treatment fails. The Hyomei outfit includes a pocket inhaler, a medicine dropper, and Hyomei, sold for $1.00 with extra bottles at 50 cents. The company emphasizes customers only need to state dissatisfaction after using the product per directions.
