Lincoln County May Term Opens with Court Charge on Crime and Vagrants
The Lincoln County Circuit Court convened for the May term with Judge M H Wilkinson presiding. The grand jury was charged to target white capping, blind tigers, gambling, and vagrancy, stressing enforcement by both county and municipal officers and urging action against druggists selling intoxicants and idle loiterers. The judge urged moral progress, church influence, and lawful work as remedies for crime and social ills in Brookhaven and surrounding areas.
