Brookhaven in Holiday Attire for Inter-Collegiate Contest
Brookhaven staged a gala Inter-Collegiate Oratorical Contest with 400 A&M boys in white Lee Guards and 200 Mississippi College students in parade, while Millsaps and Auburn attendees joined Brookhaven schools in a day of contests, feasts, and a 4000-strong crowd. Prize winners included Edgar Godbold of Mississippi College first and W S Pittman of Millsaps second. events featured track, field, and vocal performances, with a grand reception by Whitworth College students and a celebratory opera-house setting.

In Franklin County white copper case hearings opened in federal court yesterday with about 400 county residents watching.
