Public Finances Show Surplus and Debt Reduction

The Treasury reports a June debt reduction of 61,061,894 and a full fiscal year surplus of about 45 million dollars. Cash in the Treasury stands at 875,191,109 with gold certificates up to 76,044,375 and silver certificates at 58,118,245. Customs and internal revenue rise, while total receipts exceed year-ago figures by around 16 million. Expenditures total about 15 million with pensions and sinking fund noted. the surplus for the year is projected at 45 million.
