Inaugural Ceremonies Planned for Mississippi
Jackson reports Adjutant General Henry issues the detailed inaugural programme. The parade will form on West Street and Capitol approaches with Governor McLaurin, Governor-elect Longino, and state officials taking cars to the Capitol for the oath and address. The day includes a reception and an Edward House ball, with illness affecting officials and a joint legislature session confirming McLaurin to the U.S. Senate.
