Bond Forfeiture In Grand Larceny Case At Vicksburg
In Vicksburg Mississippi on December 19 1904 Paul Battier failed to answer in a case charging three counts of grand larceny. A 1509 dollar bond forfeiture was entered in Criminal Court after Battier was later found at Hartiston with Mamie Chester who allegedly possessed the stolen diamonds. Battier’s surrender today led to the forfeiture. Also noted is resignation of B Wills from the board of supervisors district No 4 with an election set for January 24 1905 to fill the seat. The notice hints at an indictment related to a separate case and uncertain outcomes. A separate Arkansas report covers the capture of a man named Lige Thomika for a November 19 shooting of Lee Boswell at Hine Point Miss.
