Davy Carson and the Almshouse Family Fall From Grace
A Brookhaven almshouse tale follows Davy Carson, a simple, trusting boy cared for by his prosperous siblings after their parents die. As wealth and modern life pull the siblings apart, Davy’s innocence suffers, and a harsh Christmas truth reveals the limits of their charity. Eventually Davy’s longing to return home deepens, and a final revelation exposes the family’s moral failure in turning love into a ledger of dollars.
