A well for the water works reached 155 feet with water 5 feet from the surface and expected to produce about 1,000 gallons every two hours. A second identical well was bored to 115 feet yesterday evening. Contractors for the water works and electric light plant arrived and broke ground yesterday. Pipe laying will begin this week as piping arrives.
