Prohibition Party Nominates St John and Daniels for President and VP
The Prohibition national convention at Pittsburgh nominated ex-Gov St John of Kanana for president and Wm Daniels of Maryland for vice president. The platform denounces liquor traffic, calls for abolition of taxes on liquor, federal and state reform, and civil service changes to curb corruption. It also urges prohibition in new states and territories and celebrates women’s support for temperance.
