Drunkenness No Justification For Crime Supreme Court Rule
The Louisiana Supreme Court held that voluntary drunkenness is not a valid excuse for murder. If a person knowingly engages in continuous intoxication, the duration does not change the legal view. Drunkenness for a week is not a defense for an act committed as its direct result. Judgment affirmed.
