Compromise Rejected In Tammona Case By Village Board

Brookfield village board rejected a compromise proposed by attorneys for the Tammona family to adjust their 25 foot corner lot home plan to meet sideyard rules and 850 square foot minimum with a basement if required. Attorney Meyer argued for cooperation to avoid court action, while trustees warned of precedent and majority opinion favoring wider lots. The board also concurred with zoning board recommendations in the Rezny case, approved three variations for sub standard lots, and discussed a light manufacturing site proposal by H Stocker for a hinge factory on 47th street with a 10,000 square foot building, seeking Plan commission input on zoning and utilities.
