Nash Ambassadors win 1949 village title in close finish
The Nash Ambassadors defeated Congress Park 60 to 54 to claim the mythical village title in a March 14 final. The game closed with Ken Krejcik scoring 22 for Nash as Mike Mills and Joe Stejskal added key baskets. Church and Boys League All Star games preceded the finale, with Paul Brooks leading the Boys and George Tomecek starring for the Church stars. A near-capacity crowd watched two strong showings sponsored by the Brookfield Inter-Church and Boys leagues.
