Oak and Cossitt Youth Basketball Tilt Sees Oak Triumph

Oak narrowly overcomes Cossitt with a late surge after halftime, while Cossitt’s heavies dominate Congress Park early for a runaway final. Cassitt rallies from a 4 2 deficit at the first period to lead by halftime and stretch to a convincing finish. Congress Park routs St Francis 49 19 and then edges Oak 19 17 to reach the final. Oak survives Masonic-Home 18 1 and defeats St Francis 52 19 in semis. Sward leads Oak with four points in the lightweight final, while Custer Ward nets two baskets and three free throws for the runners-up.
