Local fishing club holds meeting and plans first shoot
Last Friday the club gathered many members as President Tom Purlt set the agenda for a quick business session. He appointed two members to draft plans for a first shoot and hinted it may be opened to non members. Chairman Al Noland reported a poor ice fishing contest due to rain with six attendees and one perch caught by J Duran. The Department of Conservation noted Squaw Creek remains open with no sizeable catches, Mincola Bay yielding large crappies. Ice on the lakes persists about 160 inches while hedges thaw. Two color movies on waterfowl protection and Conservation work were shown before Durant served a fine meal. A Strobl, publicity.
