Funeral services for Paul O. Juengel father of Erich Juengel were held Feb 24 at the funeral home in Brookfield with interment in Concordia cemetery. He died Feb 22. Survived by widow Marie Meyer, children Erich Paula Hilda Adela Jagusch, Ruth Juengel nee Brockman, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Henry Elisabeth Aufdemberg Johanna Ramm Lina Meyer.

Theresa E Bierbauer Fenelon nee Bierbauer of 9146 Sherman Ave died February 18 at MacNeal Memorial Hospital. Services were February 22 at St Barbara church with burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Survived by daughter Mrs William Shay of Franklin Park, two grandchildren Patricia and Billy, mother Mrs Theresa Bierbauer, sisters Mrs Josephie Gast and Mrs William Brasts, brothers Ray and Carl Bierbauer, all of Brookfield.

Mrs Maud Davenport Buried in Chapel Hill

Mrs Maud Davenport aged about 70 or more died February 24 at the hospital. Funeral services were held at 40 South Ashland Avenue LaGrange and interment followed in Chapel Hill Gardens. Surviving are a daughter Mrs Virginia Brady and three sons with thirteen grandchildren.

Massillon native joins Kansas coaching staff stint

Mr and Mrs Potts of Massillon Ohio announce their son has taken a coaching post at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Veterans hospital feeding program led by Brookfield legion men

Edward Feely and American Legion members in Brookfield organize a male feeding program at Vaughn hospital on Oct 23, 1953, providing meals and companionship to veterans on neurology wards. Twelve male feeders work Saturdays 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., earning 272 hours. auxiliary members escort on Saturdays.
