Amendment to LaGrange Park zoning and parking rules
The village held a public hearing April on an amendment sought by William Joern Inc to modify an area for restricted business parking near Homestead apartments. Plans show the lot on Sherwood Ave with traffic limited to that side, surrounded by a planting strip, dustless paving, drainage, and no signs. The board also discussed changing zoning wording to permit second and third story business use and studied exterior home requirements east of the Indiana belt tracks and west of Jackson Ave with possible wood use for decorative purposes. Complaints about garbage disposal led to a study by the village public matters committee.
