The new northwoods camp near Eleho Wisconsin will baptize its first campers on Sunday August 1 with about 40 scouts and leaders arriving for a week of self sufficient outdoor living. Troop 5 Whittier School PTA Downers Grove Troop 70 Berwyn and Troop 9 Hinsdale Grace Episcopal church join leaders for Troops 10 Hinsdale Union church in a multi troop kickoff with staff from West Suburban council assisting in programs and activities including canoeing fishing hiking and first aid.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Oakland for Cyrus L Coolley 75 father of Mrs. Kenneth Cates of 9129 Grant Ave. He died July 25 in St Lukes hospital Chicago. Survived by his widow Mrs. Lillian Cooley daughter Mrs Kenneth Cates two grandsons and three great grand children.
