The Brookfield village board discussed liens on properties with defaults and a foreclosure processing plan led by Trustee Grogs, with a permanent committee to vet cases and bear expenses only if the petitioner clears title. Wests formerly lived on Forrest Avenue. Mrs Herstowski of Forrest Avenue hospitalized for brain tumor at MacNeal Memorial in Berwyn. Mrs George Brady remains homebound due to illness.
The meeting was presided over by Trustee Bush while Mayor Hayford was on vacation. Attendees discussed using sale proceeds to buy equipment comparable to those used in neighboring suburban towns.
