Drainage district eyed to ease Flag Creek floods
Plans propose a new Western Springs LaGrange Highlands drainage district to raise funds for cleaning and diverting runoff from the Highlands. Officials say diversion could aid south LaGrange but would require extensive sewer work. Western Springs and Hinsdale may oppose increasing flows into Flag Creek. Local leaders from LaGrange and the Highlands associations await further information ahead of a September meeting.
