Veterans GI bill enrollment up to four years for veterans

About 52 020 veterans, including 20 000 first time applicants, plan to enroll in Illinois colleges this fall on a full time basis. Officials note potential increases from out of state veterans. an estimated 2 500 disabled veterans will enter rehabilitation training under Public Law 16. The Servicemen's Readjustment Act known as the GI bill covers up to four years of education for qualifying World War II veterans who served at least 90 days and earned an honorable discharge.

Rites Held for Mrs Pesateri in Brookfield Church

Mrs Antonio Pusateri died suddenly Monday August 12 at 2805 Ogden Avenue. She came to America in 1908 with her husband and two children Antoinette and Joseph, settling in Congress Park. Funeral Mass was read at St Barbara’s Church Brookfield Friday August 16. Interment followed at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Transport investment figure mentioned stands at over 4.25 billion dollars.

Suburbs eye new housing schemes with Naperville veterans backing a project and plans for two 16 family apartment buildings in Lis Grove. Funeral Services Held for A F Bruno Former Resident

Funeral services were held at Mansfield Funeral Home for Alexander F. Bruno 50 of 4856 W North Ave Chicago formerly of Brookfield. He died Sunday night at a Chicago hospital. Interment at Chapel Hill Garden. Bruno a World War I veteran member of the American Legion. Survived by widow Lenore parents Otto and Lauise Bruno of Brookfield three brothers Paul Edward Willian all of Brookfield three sisters Elsie Clara Schindler Brookfield and Louise Westerman Montgomery Minn.

Mini Football Team Will Take to Air This Fall

The Fighting Jini of Illinois will travel by air to away games this fall using two TWA planes chartered to carry players and officials.
