Emergency call saves life after heart attack in Brookfield
At about 10 PM a Brookfield resident phoned an LaGrange operator for help after her father-in-law suffered a heart attack. Operator Ruth Winslow and supervisor Bresowar mobilized a doctor and police, with an inhalation squad arriving soon. The patient was declared out of danger. Police and doctor credited swift action for saving the life.

Clarence Uhlich Dies Fortnight Following Wife
Clarence Uhlich died two weeks after his wife. Merle, a US Marine at Camp Pendleton, was likely to be released soon to be with two younger children. He had been active in Boy Scout work and local recreation groups and helped found a Model Railway club at EMC. Mrs. Uhlich had been ill briefly before passing.
