The journey includes beaver dam portages, swamp navigation, river hazards, weather challenges, and end where canoes return to base camp August 2.

Ideal School to Start Kinder Garten Session Early
An afternoon session of kindergarten will be started at Ideal School due to 83 advance registrations this year versus 11 last year. New movable desks are being installed in one classroom and will be added to others as equipment arrives. All rooms are cleaned and ready for term. playground gear is being checked. Canasta players at Edgewood Valley Country Club play tournament games every other Saturday afternoon. Covington Accident Case Concluded in Brookfield
The Covington case was dismissed Aug 9 at Brookfield village hall before Irving Iserman. The inquest after James Covington's May 30 pedestrian death on Ogden near Vernon returned an accidental death verdict. A civil suit against the driver, 49 year old Ferm er A Langosch of Chicago is said to be under way.
