Be Hollywood Womans Club Highlights April Meeting
The Hollywood Woman's Club held its April gathering at the Hollywood Community House with a flag ceremony and the National Anthem. Brownies including Jewell Wojnkoski, Martha Hill, Linnea Oleksy, Hummel, Mariya Kropacek, Slosar, Karen Lang, and Jean Cuickshank served as color guards under Mrs Daniel Butler, club president. Guest speaker Col. Beutel outlined the Civil Air Patrol's wartime role, cadet program, and summer encampment, noting the CAP's auxiliary status to the U S Air Corps and its nationwide reach from Hawaii to Puerto Rico. He praised the cadet program and described missions like food and medical supply drops in emergencies, with Swiss cadets this year joining American youths for exchange relations.
