A Ballinger business advertises 37 years of experience in shoe harness and saddle repair and invites customers to visit next week or any time for necessary services. The ad stresses trusted craftsmanship and a long-standing local reputation.
Mrs. and Mrs. Owen Galbraith of Los Angeles announce the birth of a baby boy weighing seven and a half pounds. Various residents report visits and illness, including Mrs. English who is seriously ill, and corrections noted for the ironing price in The Enterprise. No injuries reported after a vehicle incident involving a pedestrian.
A group of friends gathered at the home of Mr and Mrs Charles Ragsdale to quilt two quilts for Mr and Mrs Turney Hall following a trailer fire at Sweetwater that destroyed their household effects.
The Blackwell Methodist church congregation enjoyed its fourth annual conference with a picnic lunch. They celebrate that next year they will have a full time work and pastorate for continued ministry.
D Tull died suddenly early Thursday at the Bronte family residence after years of ill health. He had been active in the business district Wednesday, greeting friends, then fell ill around midnight. Funeral arrangements are set for 3 p.m. at the Baptist church.
Rev N W Pitts a former local Baptist preacher will conduct the service for the deceased. Active pallbearers include Edward Rawlings Wink Riker Otis Smith Clitus Smith Curtis Smith Jack Chapman. honorary pallbearers Floyd Bridges W Modgling John Taylor R R Ash F S Higginbotham Nathan Johnson. Born Jefferson Tennessee June 24 1879 he was 58. Survived by wife a niece Miss Clementine Parker two sisters Miss Mett Hull San Angelo and Mrs H S Wood Eden. The writer notes the deceased was a humane, well read man with broad insight. the community of Bronte and beyond mourns with the family.
The District No 4 Texas State Chiropractic Association held its regular meeting at the Grape Chiropractic Clinic in San Angelo with 33 chiropractors and their wives. Luncheon was served and speakers included Dr. A N Fisher Coleman Central Division and Dr. Kevin Byzale Wink mayor for Western division. Dr. A M Irischer Coleman presented uterine tumor X rays and Dr. Rudy Warner Quanah presented ulcerated and prolapsed stomach X rays.
