Austin Texas November 8 Dr John W Brown State Health Officer urged household precautions to prevent influenza pneumonia tuberculosis scarlet fever measles infantile paralysis and other diseases spread by nose and throat discharges. Emphasizing cooperation with medical authorities he advised using disposable handkerchiefs or soft cloths for patients sterilizing dishes clothing and linens and cleaning rooms thoroughly after illness while ensuring fresh air and sunlight.
Lenora Davis thanks friends for their kindness during illness and notes encouraging visits. Mrs Dessa Alsup reports her brother Alvah Calloway recovered well after a serious operation at Odessa last month and expects a speedy complete recovery. Friends of the Calloways at Fort Chadbourne and Bronte join in the good wishes.
Mr and Mrs W R Snyder thank many friends around Bronte for their generous donations to help with hospital expenses after an accident. The letter expresses deep gratitude and wishes God’s blessing on all supporters.
