The Bronte Enterprise notes its status as second class matter at the Bronte Texas Post Office dated March 1 1918. It lists annual subscription rates of 1.00 for in state and 1.50 for out of state residents.
Government remount inspection scheduled in Coke County Saturday afternoon at the H. C. Allen Ranch. The event takes place on November 9 with officials coordinating the readiness of remount stock and facilities. Local citizens may attend and observe the proceedings.
Pro ducers will show horses at Fred Roe Ranch meeting strict standards. Horses must be kind, sound, well balanced with good feet and straight movement. Height 15.0 to 16 hands, weight 1000 to 1200 pounds, age 4 to 8 years, geldings preferred with some outstanding mares, colors bay brown black chestnut and exceptional darker tones. Three-year-olds and four-year-olds with full wear teeth considered.

Private William T. Stephenson of Bronte Texas temporarily relieved from duty with the 351st school squadron at the Air Corps Gunnery School to take an examination at March Field Riverside California for appointment as an aviation student. He will return here after the exam. Stephenson is the son of J H Stephenson Rt 2 Bronte and enlisted June 27 1941 at Brooks Field Texas. He is now a clerk.
