Big Spring notes that the Fifteenth Annual WTCC convention will be held May 11 12 and 13 with several West Texas cities planning bids for the Sixteenth Annual Convention to be held in Los Angeles. Mineral Wells San Angelo Amarillo and Plainview are named as potential hosts with past venues listed. Selection of the convention city is the final Big Spring event.
The Enterprise corrects a prior report stating the crop loan fund limit was April 1. The actual deadline is April 30. Mr. Metcalfe of San Angelo, federal field supervisor, notified the error. Farmers now have time to apply.

The Farmers Produce Company of San Angelo will bring a poultry car to the Bronte rail yard all day Monday April 3. Manager R A Smith long known in Ballinger and Bronte communities will oversee the sale offering favorable prices to poultry raisers to move surplus. Easter millinery notes follow with Sylvia's Hat Shop expanding to a new location in Sweetwater inviting Blackwell and Bronte customers to visit.
Sheriff Frank Percifull with Deputy Bell and Constable Walker Good confiscated another bootlegger's still on a woodland farm near Fort Chadbourne. The crude plant used two milk cans and a copper coil, with evidence of liquor being produced. No owner has claimed the still.
A destructive hail event struck Bronte early Tuesday evening damaging fruit and young gardens. The storm arrived in two downpours about thirty minutes apart, with heavier hail to the north and rainfall that was much needed.
