Bronte Texas reports reopening of the Post Office on March 1 1018 under the 1871 act. The event marks continued federal postal service operations in Bronte with adherence to congressional guidelines.
Mrs. W L McCurdy and daughter Reta Mae, and Mrs. Jack Allison of Alfred, have been visiting Mr and Mrs Jodie Van Zandt. Jeraldine Jordan has been in Big Spring and Garden City. Miss Bess James of Carthage has visited her sister Mrs Walter Leach and family.
Euterpean Club met at the homes of Mrs Emmett Bryan and Mrs Henry Raney at noon June 15. Mrs Raney chaired the trophy committee and presented the Euterpean Scholarship award with Miss Edna Engle’s name to be engraved. Following choral practice hosts served refreshments including Boston cream pie and frosted limeade to members and guests.
The Methodist Missionary Society met at the home of Mrs. Chas. Ragsdale Monday afternoon with a program by Mrs. T. A. Carlisle Mrs. Bun Kirk Mrs. Frank Youree and Mrs. C. H. Bolin A salad course was served to a long list of attendees including Mrs. J. T. Hucka Uti Mrs. George Hartin and Mrs. Delos Alsup Other visitors mentioned include Mrs. H C Autrey of Dallas Mrs. Roy Sanderson and Mrs. Henry Raney of Blackwell visiting Mrs. Harvey Glass of Sterling City last week Relatives of Mr and Mrs James Rogers and Mr and Mrs C B Rogers of Stanton visited Bronze Sunday Continued on Page 8
