Mass Meeting Favors Irrigation Project Across Four Counties
Citizens from Coke, Tom Green, Runnels and Nolan counties gathered at Robert Lee to back a long planned irrigation system. The plan seeks federal funding from the RFC to irrigate about 150000 acres with a Colorado River dam nearby. A board of directors was named to push the proposal toward a district election and federal feasibility review. The West Texas Chamber of Commerce backs the effort.
