Lynchings Report For First Six Months Of 1939

F D Patterson of Tuskegee Institute reports to The Enterprise that 4 lynchings occurred in the first six months of 1939. States with lynchings were Florida with 2, Georgia with 1, and Mississippi with 1. This total is 8 more than the first six months of 1938 and matches the six months of 1937.
