S. B. Adams of Coke County returns to town after ten months away with the U S FCA in the hill country. He says there is no place like Coke County and prefers home duties drafting abstracts to Coke county soil. Friends greet him warmly as he visits.
Mrs Carrie G Willi hosted a post nuptial shower for Mrs Dwain Leonard Tuesday afternoon at Mrs Williams home. Honoree Miss Louise Chumley married December 22. Valentine scheme with gifts in a heart. Ruth Price poured tea, Maxine Walton registered, Vanna Ruth Capterton helped serving. Large guest list noted though not fully listed. Mention of H H Pearce of Cooper sending a letter after funeral of Grandmother Pearce in Winters.

Murmured program notes indicate a Tuesday show featuring Mickey Rooney and Fred Stone in Judge Hardy's Children a family oriented comedy with a swell cast. Also listed are a comedy feature The Guilty Trail scheduled for Friday and Saturday January 20 21 with limited venue details.
