Bannowsky Home Destroyed By Fire Near Bronte

Fire early Monday consumed the two story residence of C. J. Bannowsky on Bronte outskirts. Built by W. L. Hayley the home housed Bannowsky and rentiers with C. A. Taylor occupying rooms until January 1. The fire origin and cause remain undetermined with no residents inside. Partial insurance covered the structure and contents, most of which were lost.

Miss Rhodie Hagemann Dies in Bronte After Illness

Miss Rhodie Hagemann of Bronte dies after a pneumonia illness at home. Born November 17, 1877 in Boerne, she moved to Bronte in 1909 and lived recently in Bronte again. Survived by six brothers and six sisters. funeral held December 22 at Bronte Methodist Church with Frank Keeney as director.

The Senior Girls Choral Club has been organized with sponsors Miss Elizabeth Leonard and Miss Fay Kirkpatrick. Eighteen girls enrolled, some dropped and others added. seventeen remain with Ruby Banks as president and Helen A as secretary. The club meets on Thursdays at the school.
