Fire early Monday consumed the two story residence of C. J. Bannowsky on Bronte outskirts. Built by W. L. Hayley the home housed Bannowsky and rentiers with C. A. Taylor occupying rooms until January 1. The fire origin and cause remain undetermined with no residents inside. Partial insurance covered the structure and contents, most of which were lost.
Miss Rhodie Hagemann of Bronte dies after a pneumonia illness at home. Born November 17, 1877 in Boerne, she moved to Bronte in 1909 and lived recently in Bronte again. Survived by six brothers and six sisters. funeral held December 22 at Bronte Methodist Church with Frank Keeney as director.
J. C. Clark of Tennyson asked The Enterprise to announce a singing event at Tennyson Sunday afternoon. The Tennyson community plans more sing song programs and invites all to attend as they begin the new year in a fine way.
A local high school basketball team defeated the town squad on Tuesday night and earns a spot to face Bronte High School in an upcoming game. The report blends uncertain notes and stray phrases about other figures and goals, but confirms the win and next opponent.

Miss Doris Gilreath hosted a Tuesday evening dinner for friends at Bronte School with Iva Dell Modyrling Gladys Ash Clarine Gilreath Doris McAuley Margaret Lee Louise Chumly Maxine Walton and Geraldine Bell in attendance. Red and green candy suckers labeled Lest we forget were given as remembrances.
At 11 A M Sunday the Reverend J H Thompson will preach from St John 17 4 on God s plan for our lives. The service invites all to join and welcomes worshippers as they reflect on the past and seek divine guidance for the future.
Camp Fire Girls met Tuesday afternoon in a business session. A hike for next week was planned.
Carl Waldie and Miss Daisy Wallace married on December 19 at the Methodist Parsonage with Rev. Joe H. Thompson officiating. The Enterprise missed the notice in last week's issue due to an oversight.
Mr and Mrs W D Richardson of Kansas City spend the holidays with Rev and Mrs J H Thompson. Richardson is the brother of Mrs Thompson.
Nineteen members of Boy Scouts Troop 32 met Tuesday night with Assistant Scout Master Martin Baze giving a first aid lesson. Star Scouts assist peers in advancing work as plans to organize a Tennyson troop for nonattending boys are set.
The Senior Girls Choral Club has been organized with sponsors Miss Elizabeth Leonard and Miss Fay Kirkpatrick. Eighteen girls enrolled, some dropped and others added. seventeen remain with Ruby Banks as president and Helen A as secretary. The club meets on Thursdays at the school.
