Baptist Ladies Meet for Royal Service Study
The Baptist Ladies Missionary Society met at the Baptist Church on Monday February 14. Six members attended the study led by Rev J H Dean with lesson from Galatians. Next week they will study Galatians Chapter Two. JD Franklin will host a children’s meeting afterward at 4:00 PM. All are invited.

Annual Bible Lectureship at Abilene College Opens February
The twenty first annual Bible Lectureship at Abilene Christian College announced by President James Gedeta runs February 20 to 25. The theme is Jesus of Nazareth the Christ, Son of the Living God with two to three lectures daily by prominent US ministers. The program includes round table talks on The Grace of Giving, five college plays including Release, and a College A Cappella Chorus performance in Sewell Auditorium.

Famous Cowboy Band to Play at San Angelo Rodeo Show
The Hardin-Simmons University Cowboys band from Abilene will perform at the San Angelo Fat Stock Show and Rodeo on March 4 8. Manager Gib Sandefer says the band, one of the nation’s top university ensembles, will also play in the opening day parade and has a schedule of concerts across West Texas. The group has played nationally in Jackson Square Garden the American Royal in Kansas City and in Tucson and Phoenix. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Norman and Mrs. Miller of San Angelo visited Mrs. Dollie Wylie Sunday.
