Notice for the West Texas Cotton Growers Association annual meeting to be held April 11, 1939 at 1 00 PM in the County Courtroom at the Courthouse in Abilene Texas. All members are invited to attend.
Invitations have been extended to EK F Creekmore General Manager of the American Cotton Cooperative Association and other ACCA officials to attend and participate in the membership meeting. J L Wilkinson Coleman President will preside at the April 11 meeting.
Tuesday elections chose incumbents J. F. Bridges and Cecil Glenn to win re election to the city council.
New York City gears up for the World’s Fair opening on April 30 with an expected 15 million visitors. City workers and artists race to finish the vast exhibit spaces and ready hotels, theatres, and public buildings on Manhattan’s island for “The World of Tomorrow.” Visitors will enjoy two shows for the price of one as Broadway and other entertainments augment the fair.
