Methodist Church Passes Out $5 Bills at Sunday Services
At First Methodist Church in Bronte on Sunday money was placed in the offering plates and two plates with 100 five dollar bills were passed along the aisles inviting attendees to take a bill. Pastor Rev. James W. Campbell says about 75 people took or will take a bill and the plan aims to teach Christian stewardship by asking members to invest the five dollars and return it with profits by January 1. Campbell notes parishioners are devising works to earn money with their talents such as selling Christmas cards and home baked bread.
