Families from San Angelo, Sterling City, Fort Worth, and Austin joined locals in miles and Eastland, with travel to Corpus Christi and Norton noted among relatives and friends.
A salad supper at Mrs. Martin Lee’s home opened the new year for the ’69 Study Club. Mrs. Don Bailey led the program and introduced the year’s speakers. The next meeting is Sept. 27 at Mrs. Bennie Hambright’s home with Mmes. Arrott Bailey Butler Forehand Hambright Hart Koenig Luckett Ragsdale Skelton Tidwell Webb Wrinkle and Lee in attendance.
The Baseball Boosters Association holds a meeting next Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in City Hall. All members and anyone interested in a community baseball program are invited to attend.
Paula Landers and Cathy Bryan visited their parents Mr and Mrs Marvin Landers and Mrs Pat Bryan in their hometown after returning from Texas A&M University College Station.
Melissa Lee returns to her hometown for a weekend visit with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Royce Lee in San Marcos after attending Southwest Texas State University.
