Agriculture agents from R oa R oa County and nearby districts met in San Angelo to hear B F Gray explain the Christian Rural Overseas Program. October 6 meeting plans were announced for church and agricultural groups to learn how crops can aid Asia and Europe relief while ensuring proper distribution through church networks.

Silver Peak School Modernization Underway
Mr. and Mrs. H. KR. Gassiot teach at Silver Peak School and reside in Bronte during the teacherage construction. The schoolhouse lunchroom and teacherage are being modernized with tile floors stell lockers and new furnishings. A steam table and other equipment will be added to the lunch room.

Funeral Services Held For Mrs Burroughs Of Bronte
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Bronte Methodist Church for Mrs. Della Burroughs 42 of Roswell New Mexico. Rev Alvin Mauldin officiated. She died Saturday afternoon at William Beaumont General Hospital El Paso after a two month illness. Interment followed in Bronte Cemetery with Clift Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include her husband John J Burroughs her mother Mrs E A Brookshire of Bronte one brother Chester Brookshire of Ft Worth four sisters Mrs Jim Golden of Ballinger Mrs C J Gentry of Bronte Mrs A E Gentry of Bronte and Mrs Maud Stoetzel of Water Valley. Pallbearers were R S Walton W W Millican Frank Keesee I M Cumbie W H H Maxwell Sr and A C McAulay.
